16 days of GBV activism 2025

Theme: UNITE TO END DIGITAL VIOLENCE AGAINST ALL WOMEN AND GIRLS

The annual campaign of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) runs from November 25th to December 10th. In 2025, the theme “Unite To End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls” highlights the urgent need for collective action to eradicate violence in every form. This period serves as a powerful reminder that gender-based violence is a pervasive violation of human rights affecting millions of women and girls worldwide.

During these 16 days, individuals, organizations, and governments are encouraged to raise awareness, challenge discriminatory practices, and advocate for legal frameworks that safeguard women’s and girls’ rights. By uniting communities and amplifying voices, we can dismantle the systemic barriers that perpetuate violence and inequality.

Campaigns and initiatives focus on education, support services, and policy changes to create a safer and more equitable world. The movement calls upon everyone to participate—whether through community events, social media campaigns, or legislative advocacy. Together, we can foster an environment where women and girls are empowered to live free from fear and violence, ensuring their full participation in society.

Let us unite in solidarity and commitment to ending gender-based violence, building a future where equality and safety are realities for all women and girls.
